Spirou & Fantasio in Movie Theaters!

While we wait for the Spirou theme park to open next June, the release of the adventure movie Les Aventures de Spirou et Fantasio in French-speaking countries gave a number of brands and partners the opportunity to jump onboard.

The cultural superstore chain Cultura is promoting both the movie and the newly released comic Le Triomphe de Zorglub (by O. Bocquet, A. Sentenac and B. Cossu, published last January) through thematic point-of-sale displays, in-store broadcasting of the movie trailer, on-line campaigns and competitions.

Prisma republished a two-part “Z-related” Spirou & Fantasio adventure in a new collector edition exclusively available on newsstands.

Both Ibis Styles (AccorHotels) and Avis Budget are talking about the movie on social media, and organizing competitions and ticket give-aways ; while Selectour is doing the same on-line, but is also broadcasting the trailer in their 750 travel agencies in France.

Nestlé Waters Cinéma is organizing a special Spirou & Fantasio display in their 160 outlets in movie theaters, offering a comic booklet for the purchase of a Vittel menu.

The pizza chain Del Arte is also offering a comic booklet with each kid’s menu in their 154 restaurants for a whole month.

Cacolac is unfolding a large-scale promotion strategy through their distribution network including window-stickers, competitions, and a winter sports resort tour!

Chronodrive is also joining in the fun with a loyalty program involving 5 collectable Spirou bouncing balls (Eurogift).

And last but not least, Land Rover is also an official partner of the movie.

Plenty more to come for our 2 heroes this year with the celebration of their 80th anniversary and the opening of the Spirou theme park in Provence next June!
